It’s my first paid newsletter! I thought a lot about what I would want to have contained here and ultimately decided it should be something personal and fun, something that I would be excited to share and allows the people who are supporting me in an additional way to get to know me a little better. And given that this newsletter is centered around film, what better place to start than with an overview of my own personal top five?
My top five films list has actually stayed more or less consistent over my lifetime. I think about this question in terms of movies that have had the greatest impact on me rather than attempting to create my own list of what the objectively best movies are, because who am I to say? Each of these movies left a profound mark on me, and that has earned them one of these coveted slots. So without further ado:
